Habakkuk 3:17

The children and I are safely home. Our trip was cut short but we are thankful for the time we enjoyed in beautiful Guatemala. We are grateful for the old friends we were able to catch up with and the new friends that we made.

We are in the midst of a snowstorm today and about 7 inches has fallen so far. I love the cozy feeling of being inside my warm home with vegetable soup on the stove and all of the kids home.

I have rediscovered the book of Habakkuk.

Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls; yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation. The Lord God is my my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places.
