Matthew 6:19-20

I liked my Coach purse. I looked long and hard, deliberated, went back to the store. Plunked down the dough that my husband worked so hard to earn. Really enjoyed carrying it. All of the little pockets were just in the right spot - the handle just the right length.

I went to the athletic club this morning proud of myself because it has been way too long. It was bright and sunny - a gorgeous Saturday. I parked about 2 spaces from the door. Barely 10 minutes into my workout the front desk girl comes and gets me. I go to my van and the passenger side window is smashed and, yes, my Coach purse is gone.

So is my drivers license, debit card, credit card, cellphone, a Burt's Bees chapstick used only once, my brand new glasses (the ones my husband said make me look like a hot librarian - words I treasure) and that little Eiffel tower charm that I got while enjoying the trip of a lifetime and I'm downright mad that someone is going through my stuff and not giving it its due respect.

A real bummer. The thief got next to nothing and we are out about 500 bucks.

I'm going to look through my old purses none of which are Coach. Maybe I'll choose that old black one. The one from the yard sale.

See title.

Matthew 6:19-20 Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven.

  1. tina,
I am so sorry you had to go thru this! It stinks. With that said, you are right. We are not treasure up things. It's so hard to remember that at times.

    Hugs,
    gloria
